Meet Our Founder - Sandra Welsford

 Sandra is the Chief Ice Cream Officer of Nicecream and a true sweets devotee. She is the mastermind behind Nicecream. Nicecream operates a shop and ice cream catering business just outside of Washington, DC and handcrafts ice cream every day. She is passionate about supporting local farmers, making every ingredient in-house and serving some of the best ice cream in the country. 

Welsford's lifelong dream of opening up a dessert shop came sooner than she had planned for. After launching in 9 farmers markets in DC, she opened their first store in Arlington, VA with her college sweetheart in 2013.

She is most passionate about her Nicecream team. Each day, you'll find her popping in and out of the shop, packing orders to be shipped out and inventing new ways to bring the best ice cream possible to customers like YOU!
